Provider Bio
Renate Braddy, LPC
Licensed Mental Health Therapist
I have been serving individuals and families in Franklin County, Tennessee as a mental health provider since 2019 and earned my LPC-MHSP in 2022. Before becoming a counselor, my professional journey was wonderfully eclectic, but always centered around people and helping improve their lives. I began my career in the USAF in 1992 and over the years have worked as a small business consultant, project manager, buyer, school cafeteria employee, and much more. Those varied life experiences help me connect with people from all walks of life and create the kind of genuine rapport that supports healing and growth.
My husband of 23 years, Eddie, is my biggest cheerleader, along with our son and daughter. Family, connection, and authenticity are deeply important to me, and they influence the way I approach counseling.
I understand the vulnerability it takes to open up to someone new, and I truly appreciate the trust that requires. My hope is that you will find a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space with me. I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is to walk alongside you, help you develop tools that reduce pain and overwhelm, and support you as you move toward healing, confidence, and growth.
I primarily offer therapy through Telehealth, but I also have an office available for those near the Franklin County, Tennessee area.
My work in mental health began with a passion for helping strengthen families, but over time that focus expanded to include supporting individuals navigating sobriety, justice involvement, trauma, grief, unhealthy relationships, divorce, PTSD, neurodivergence, LGBTQ+ concerns, anxiety, depression, and more. Carrying these struggles alone can feel incredibly heavy, and you do not have to do it by yourself.
I primarily practice Solution-Focused Therapy while also incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, my Christian faith, and other therapeutic approaches tailored to your individual needs and goals. I believe therapy is an active process. Growth often requires honesty, effort, and a willingness to stretch beyond familiar patterns. Together, we’ll work to find practical tools and strategies that truly fit your life.
One of my favorite parts of being a licensed counselor is helping create a sense of safety and hope for my clients. If you are carrying something difficult, navigating heartbreak, feeling stuck, or simply wanting support as you become a stronger and more confident version of yourself, I would be honored to walk alongside you as we work toward your goals.
